LoopLeaf Back to the app

Privacy Policy

Effective October 9, 2026

The short version

Who we are

LoopLeaf is run by [YOUR NAME OR COMPANY] (“we”, “us”). If you have any questions about this policy or your data, email [YOUR CONTACT EMAIL].

What stays on your device

Everything you make in LoopLeaf is stored by your own browser, on your own computer or phone. We can't see it, and it isn't sent to us or anyone else.

WhatWhere it's keptWhy
Your drawings, layers, frame notes and scene notesYour browser's storage (IndexedDB)Autosave, so your work is still there when you come back
Settings, such as pen pressure, smoothing and whether the AI Prompt Kit is openYour browser's storage (localStorage)Remembering how you like to work
Your cookie choicesYour browser's storage (localStorage)Remembering what you agreed to, so we don't ask every visit

These are strictly necessary for the app to work, so they don't need your consent. To delete them, clear this site's data in your browser settings. That also deletes any unsaved work, so save a project file first (Ctrl+S).

Files, images and the clipboard

When you open a project or insert an image, the file is read inside your browser and never uploaded. Saving and exporting (projects, GIFs, videos, images) creates files on your device. The copy buttons only put something on your clipboard when you press them, and LoopLeaf never reads your clipboard unless you paste into it.

Pen and touch input

Pen pressure, tilt and touch are used only to draw on the canvas in real time. They aren't stored or sent anywhere.

Suggestions you send us

The Suggest button lets you send the LoopLeaf team an idea or a problem report. Nothing is sent unless you write a message and press Send. When you do, we receive:

Suggestions aren't linked to an account or to your drawings. They're stored with our database provider, Supabase, in the United States, and only our team can read them. Like any web service, Supabase also receives your IP address when the message is sent and may keep it briefly in its request logs; we don't store it with your suggestion. We use suggestions only to improve LoopLeaf and keep them only as long as they're useful for that. Please don't put personal details in your message. To have a suggestion deleted, email [YOUR CONTACT EMAIL] with roughly what it said and when you sent it.

Information collected when you visit

Like nearly every website, the company that hosts LoopLeaf ([HOSTING PROVIDER, e.g. Netlify]) automatically receives basic technical information when your browser loads the site: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. Hosts use it to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, and they keep it for a limited time under their own privacy policy.

Advertising

LoopLeaf is free because it shows ads. We work with [AD NETWORK, e.g. Google AdSense] and its partners to show them. Ads appear around the app, never on your canvas, and they can't see your drawings.

With your consent where the law requires it, ad partners may use cookies and similar technologies to:

If you turn personalized ads off, you may still see ads, but they'll be based on general things like the page and your rough location, not your browsing history.

Google. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can turn off personalized ads from Google at myadcenter.google.com.

Other ad networks. You can opt out of personalized ads from many companies at optout.aboutads.info (US) and youronlinechoices.eu (Europe).

Your choices

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including the EU, UK, California and other US states, you may have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to access, correct or delete it, to object to or limit certain uses, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information or targeted advertising. We don't sell personal information. Letting ad partners personalize ads can count as “sharing” under some US state laws, and you can opt out with Cookie settings or a GPC signal.

Because your creative work stays on your device, we don't hold it and can't access it. For information held by our ad or hosting partners, contact us at [YOUR CONTACT EMAIL] and we'll help, or use the partners' own privacy tools linked above. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Where EU or UK law applies, we rely on your consent for advertising cookies and on our legitimate interests for running and securing the site and for reading suggestions you choose to send.

Children

LoopLeaf is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in some countries), and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through an ad partner on our site, contact us and we'll help have it removed.

Changes to this policy

If we change how LoopLeaf handles data, for example by adding a new ad network or analytics tool, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll ask for your consent again.
